5.2 Envelope Encryption for Chats and Images

  • Encrypted messages and media are stored in our database and storage systems (e.g., Supabase and AWS S3).

5.3 Local Device Storage

  • To improve performance and user experience, some messages, images, and related data may be stored locally on your device for faster access (for example, recent chats or cached media).
  • Any such locally stored data is also encrypted.
  • You can generally clear this local data by logging out, uninstalling the app, or using device/app settings where applicable.

5.4 Planned End‑to‑End Encryption (E2E) for Auto‑Deleted Messages

  • We plan to introduce end‑to‑end encryption (E2E) for certain auto‑deleted messages in the future.
  • When implemented, eligible messages will be encrypted in such a way that only the communicating devices (and not our servers) can decrypt them.
  • Details of this feature, including what data is covered and how it works, will be described in an updated version of this Privacy Policy and/or in‑app notices when the feature becomes available.

6. Authentication

  • Users can sign in only via Google or Apple using Supabase Auth.
  • We do not store your raw passwords. Authentication is handled by the respective identity providers and Supabase.
